Head Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking an inspirational Head Teacher to lead a prominent private primary school in Lusaka, Zambia. The ideal candidate will fuse strong academic leadership with Christian values to cultivate an atmosphere of excellence for students, faculty, and parents alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall academic leadership for primary education, ensuring curriculum aligns with national standards.
• Manage assessments by organizing examinations, grading, and monitoring student progress effectively.
• Supervise and motivate teaching and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and productive school culture.
• Oversee daily school operations, resource management, and communication with stakeholders.
• Promote and model the school’s Christian ethos, contributing to character development in students.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education required.
• Diploma in Primary Education plus Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate or diploma.
• At least five years of relevant teaching and administrative experience including proven leadership in a primary school environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities.
• Preference for candidates holding qualifications from University of Zambia (UNZA) or Kwame Nkrumah University.
• Must be a practising Christian with strong moral values and a God-fearing character.
