Responsibilities and Expectations
- Design and develop automotive ECU hardware with a minimum of four years of practical experience.
- Work hands-on with 32-bit microcontrollers, DC-DC converters, power MOSFETs, MOSFET drivers, and protective components like TVS and ESD devices.
- Implement and validate communication protocols including CAN, LIN, SPI, IC, and UART within automotive systems.
- Conduct Worst-Case Analysis (WCA) for critical electronic circuits and evaluate component performance effectively.
- Prepare and support essential engineering documentation such as Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Review Based on Failure Mode (DRBFM), and Hardware-Software Interface (H2S) documents.
- Develop circuit-level test plans alongside EMI/EMC and environmental test plans and execute hardware validation involving EMI/EMC testing and debugging procedures.
- Possess strong troubleshooting capabilities for diagnosing and resolving circuit issues.
- Utilize PCB design and simulation tools including Altium Designer and LTSPICE proficiently.
- Design hardware compliant with automotive EMI/EMC standards such as CISPR 25, ISO 7637, ISO 16750, and ISO 11451.
- Manage ECU deliverables including schematics, PCB releases, manufacturing files, and hardware revision controls.
- Participate in RFQ support, cost estimation, or technical proposal activities as advantageous.
- Operate lab instruments like oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, LCR meters, spectrum analyzers, thermal chambers, and data loggers for hardware testing and validation.
