Role Responsibilities

• Perform various small to medium maintenance and repair tasks on residential and commercial properties, with projects lasting between two hours and two days
• Engage with customers to clarify required services, set realistic expectations about project scope and cost
• Deliver exceptional service adhering to the "Mr. Handyman Way" process to create lasting customer relationships
• Manage work independently, as tasks are often performed solo
• Collect payments from customers post-service
• Utilize personal tools and technology systems to document work accurately following company protocols
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and maintain customers' property cleanliness with booties and other coverings

Requirements

• Residency within the local area
• Minimum eight years of paid handyman experience
• Ownership of required tools
• Insurable to operate a company vehicle
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently
• Capable of safely working at heights and overhead tasks for prolonged periods
• Maintain professional appearance and upkeep of the company-provided vehicle
• Proficient in at least three of the following skill areas:
• Carpentry
• Bathroom renovations
• Kitchen upgrades
• Interior and exterior painting
• Minor and major drywall repairs
• General plumbing and electrical work within legal limits
• Floor installation and refurbishment
• Knowledge of relevant building codes
