Role Overview
The company is seeking a Group Accounting Manager to become an integral member of their finance team and collaborate closely with the Financial Controller. This role is critical for ensuring the daily accuracy of accounting functions, enhancing accounts payable processes, harmonizing sub-ledgers, and maintaining comprehensive compliance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Lead and manage daily accounting operations, with focus on process optimization and precision.
- Streamline the Accounts Payable workflow to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Align and reconcile sub-ledgers to maintain consistency and accuracy in financial records.
- Implement and uphold strong internal controls to guarantee compliance and safeguard company assets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five years progressive experience in accounting roles, including at least two years in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Demonstrated expertise in both internal and external auditing, along with proficiency in sub-ledger reconciliation and process re-engineering.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Excel.
