Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain the grocery area by keeping it tidy, well-organized, and zoned correctly at all times to present a customer-ready environment.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired or damaged items to uphold product freshness and quality standards.
• Confirm that all products are priced and signed accurately by following established processes, including ordering, clearances, markups and markdowns, and labeling.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols to guarantee a safe and hygienic workplace.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked with merchandise, manage downstocking activities as necessary, apply product protection measures, and execute shelving tasks including flex modulars and shelf caps.
• Comply with all health and safety rules and company policies to maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace.
• Be flexible with scheduling by working varied shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays to support business requirements and consistent customer service.

Challenges to Anticipate

• Manage high workloads efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, by planning and maintaining focus and energy.
• Handle frequent physical activities including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties like stocking and zoning with precision and consistent attention to quality standards.

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.
