Role Overview

Join our Global Payroll Implementation team as a Global Payroll Implementation Specialist. You will be responsible for technically onboarding multiple clients of varying sizes onto our Remote Global Payroll solution with precision and within established deadlines. This role reports directly to the Manager, Global Payroll Implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for payroll clients, ensuring seamless setup and transition onto Remote's payroll services.
  • Assess client-specific payroll requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Manage the full implementation cycle for new customers, including data collection for payroll setups and tailoring configurations in Remote’s Global Payroll system per client entity.
  • Coordinate parallel payroll runs and reconcile wage-based tax liabilities.
  • Ensure payroll and tax configurations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate payroll go-live events and transfer accurate payroll details to the Payroll Operations team.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with customers, internal teams, supervisors, and vendors.
  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships to enhance retention.
  • Provide training and support on payroll processes and country-specific requirements to clients and staff.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee data.
  • Assist in documenting and updating process guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal product teams on platform improvements through user acceptance testing and release management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in global payroll implementation, including knowledge of statutory tax and payroll processing rules.
  • Hands-on experience configuring local payroll systems technically.
  • Strong grasp of end-to-end payroll and human resources workflow.
  • Operational payroll experience, including compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Background in accounting reconciliations.
  • Exceptional data handling skills with an emphasis on accuracy and detail orientation.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Technically adept with computer literacy, data analysis prowess, and critical thinking.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, global environments and passionate about delivering impact.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of autonomous work and taking ownership.
  • Customer service-oriented with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Enthusiastic about productivity improvements via automation.
  • Proficient with Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Comfortable operating in a MacBook Pro ecosystem.
  • Accommodates asynchronous work styles effectively.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Remote work experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Notion, Slack, Zendesk, Monday.com, and Salesforce is advantageous but not required.
  • Knowledge of DACH-region payroll software is considered a bonus.

Work Environment & Process

You will be part of the Global Payroll Experience & Implementations team reporting to the Manager. The role welcomes applicants globally but prioritizes candidates from the EMEA region to encourage diversity. The start date is immediate.

Salary bands reflect global market variances based on location and role specifics, ranging from €43,100 to €64,650 per annum.
