Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a General Merchandise Associate offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail skills. This role involves delivering outstanding customer care aligned with Walmart's core principles, managing and organizing general merchandise sections, and supporting stocking and sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and offer assistance by showcasing products and services, helping locate items, facilitating purchase choices, resolving issues, and directing concerns appropriately.
• Maintain coverage and proper organization in designated sales areas through zoning and merchandising.
• Relocate featured products to their designated spots and manage merchandise recovery from customer service and other store zones.
• Support Front End operations when needed and coordinate with colleagues to sustain floor coverage.
• Uphold a secure, clean, and hazard-free workplace by following company guidelines, completing safety checks, and ensuring fixtures and displays are stable.
• Stock and pick merchandise, execute downstocking, apply product protection where necessary, and set up modular displays including flexible sections and new shelf signage.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $18.80 per hour.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
