Job Overview
As a Sales Associate, you will utilize your knowledge and experience to assist pet owners in selecting optimal nutrition and product solutions for their pets. Joining a team of passionate pet experts, this role offers a chance to learn, grow, and contribute to one of the top pet retail organizations in North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as cashier and facilitate customer sales transactions.
- Prepare merchandise orders along with completing banking and other related clerical tasks.
- Stock small merchandise items (under 10 lbs), including pet and household products, onto sales floor shelves.
- Maintain store cleanliness through activities like sweeping and dusting.
- Assist in unloading deliveries, handling cases and bags of pet food and supplies, carrying items up to 50 lbs to stock areas.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or customer service environments preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Availability to work as scheduled, including weekends and evenings, maintaining reliable attendance.
- Access to dependable transportation for commuting to and from the store.
