About Zaxbys and the Role

We are currently expanding our team and inviting new members to join our workforce as Restaurant Utility Workers, responsible for the overall cleanliness, upkeep, and basic maintenance within the restaurant and its equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all necessary training mandated by Zax LLC.
- Ensure the restaurant location remains safe, clean, and in well-maintained condition.
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled cleaning assignments and perform basic maintenance tasks throughout the restaurant.
- Conduct regular cleaning and preventative upkeep of all restaurant equipment.
- Inspect and test equipment to identify malfunctions.
- Handle minor lighting repairs and general maintenance needs.
- Engage in deep cleaning and pressure washing activities inside and outside the premises.
- Interpret equipment manuals and work orders effectively.
- Conduct proactive inspections of the grounds, plumbing, electrical outlets, kitchen equipment, and the overall building to prevent issues.
- Make basic necessary repairs as identified during inspections.
- Adhere to safety procedures and operational manuals, keeping precise maintenance documentation.
- Maintain compliance with all Zaxby’s franchising and operational guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently and sustain a flexible, above-and-beyond work attitude.
- Report human resources and risk concerns promptly to management.
- Perform all other duties essential to smooth restaurant operations.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Have dependable transportation to and from work.
- Availability to work 32-40 hours per week for full-time employment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess leadership abilities, organizational skills, and the capability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Physical and Capability Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk without interruption throughout shifts.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, crouch, or climb ladders.
- Regularly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
- Maintain continuous manual dexterity and hand coordination.
- Effective communication through speech, reading, and writing is essential.
- Possess sharp audio-visual perception to monitor and respond to surroundings.
- Work environments include indoor and outdoor settings with temperature extremes and exposure to allergens.
- Operate restaurant equipment safely, including knives and fryers, with adherence to hazard protocols.
