Job description
Overview
Madawaska Pharmasave is looking for a committed and experienced Pharmacist to lead daily pharmacy activities in a independently-owned setting with a moderate prescription volume. This position suits a pharmacist who prioritizes meaningful patient interactions rather than overwhelming prescription demands.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations including dispensing medications, managing inventory, and overseeing staff.
- Ensure adherence to all pertinent provincial and federal pharmacy laws and safety protocols.
- Offer expert advice on medication administration and patient care procedures.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to enhance medication therapy management.
- Review and oversee prescription preparation for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Drive initiatives aimed at improving customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in Ontario and be in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a registered pharmacist in Canada.
- Possession of valid injection training and first aid certification.
- Strong patient care commitment emphasizing safety, precision, and confidentiality.
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software and conducting insurance billing.
- Familiarity with expanded scope services such as injection administration, medication reviews, and prescribing for minor ailments.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying updated with regulatory changes and best practices.
- English proficiency is required; knowledge of Farsi is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service capabilities.

Compensation
