Full Time Keyholder

Overview

Located in Oakville, Ontario, this role as a Keyholder supports excellent store execution to enhance customer interactions. The Keyholder plays a vital part in recommending the ideal products and services to promote a healthy and enjoyable life for pets and helps to foster the store’s growth by contributing to profitability. This position involves assisting with daily store operations and representing the store in the local community. Keyholders prioritize safety, compassion, expertise, and efficiency guided by core company beliefs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate as cashier and assist customers with sales inquiries and recommendations.
• Prepare merchandise orders and manage banking and store paperwork efficiently.
• Stock lighter items (under 10 lbs) such as pet and household supplies in the sales area.
• Maintain store cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and other general upkeep tasks.
• Help unload delivery shipments containing cases and bags (up to 50 lbs) and stock those items appropriately.
• Open and close the store while adhering to company procedures.
• Manage daily goals and assign tasks to Associates when management is absent.
• Undertake other ad hoc duties as required to support store operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in retail or customer service environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems to facilitate transactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing personality oriented towards customer service.
• Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays as per business demand.
• Reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
• A valid driver’s license may be necessary.
