Full-Time Dishwasher

About the Role

Bon Appétit Management Company is seeking a full-time Dishwasher to join the team at Reed College, located at 3203 Southeast Woodstock Boulevard, Portland, OR 97202. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by handling dishwashing duties and supporting kitchen operations. No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Schedule and Location

The role requires working Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Applications are accepted online only.

Compensation

The pay rate ranges from $17.00 to $17.75 per hour. Additionally, an internal employee referral bonus is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove food debris from dirty dishes, either by hand washing or using assigned equipment such as dish racks or conveyors, ensuring dishes are clean and sanitized.
• Wash pots, pans, trays, and polish silverware using various methods and equipment to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain proper chemical and temperature levels as per standards.
• Keep the dishwashing area organized and compliant with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to uphold cleanliness and safety.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Handle trash disposal including cleaning and sanitizing garbage containers.
• Assist with transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas and help with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.
