Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations as well as facility policies, including those regarding labor practices, ethics, health and safety, compliance, patient privacy (HIPAA), and patient rights
- Participate in departmental meetings as required
- Assume accountability for personal and professional development, including maintaining any needed certifications or licenses
- Complete mandatory annual training and competency assessments
- Adhere strictly to the policies and procedures relevant to your work area
- Execute assigned cleaning schedules and related duties consistently
- Assist with meal preparation tasks such as tray arrangement, loading food carts, and serving meals
- Prepare the dining area and provide service support to residents
- Wash dishes thoroughly and store them properly
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash promptly
- Keep dining and surrounding areas free from debris and hazards
- Report supply and equipment needs following established protocols
- Help receive and store food and other supplies efficiently
- Observe all safety codes and infection control procedures during task execution
- Understand and follow fire and disaster response plans during drills and emergencies
- Stay informed regarding all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
- Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed by management
