Job Overview
Join an innovative SaaS company in Melbourne focused on building technology solutions that enhance student outcomes. This full-time, onsite role offers a competitive salary between $120,000 and $140,000 AUD and the chance to work on impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack features leveraging Next.js, TypeScript, Go, and PostgreSQL.
- Create and maintain APIs, backend services, and cloud functions within modern cloud environments.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Lead to deliver the technical strategy.
- Decompose complex projects into smaller, deployable units for efficient delivery.
- Uphold high standards in code quality including testing, reviews, and documentation.
- Provide mentorship and support to fellow engineers by assisting with technical challenges.
- Manage ownership of systems from development phases through to production support.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years' experience as a professional software engineer.
- Proficient in TypeScript, Next.js, PostgreSQL, and Go programming languages.
- Familiarity with Prisma or equivalent ORM solutions.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Supabase, Vercel, along with infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions, and modern software deployment methods.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to balance quality, rapid delivery, and maintainability over the long term.
