Job description
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Freight Forwarder proficient in Road, Ocean, or Air Freight to join a reputable logistics company in Dundalk, Ireland. This position offers the chance to enhance your expertise across multiple freight modes within a growing forwarding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of freight shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Coordinate multimodal shipments including Road, Ocean, and Air Freight.
- Manage both imports and exports effectively.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, carriers, hauliers, shipping lines, and global partners.
- Prepare and control all necessary shipping and transport documentation.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively update customers.
- Identify and resolve operational delays or issues promptly.
- Keep precise shipment data updated in the freight management system.
- Collaborate closely with internal forwarding and logistics teams.
- Deliver reliable, customer-centric service standards.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years of prior experience in Freight Forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of Road, Ocean, or Air Freight.
- Familiarity with end-to-end freight forwarding processes.
- Capability to independently manage freight shipments.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced forwarding environment.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Experience handling multiple freight modes is advantageous but not mandatory.
