Job Location and Nature

This permanent full-time role is based in Homebush, focusing on production operations at Perfection Fresh.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing inbound and outbound truck operations as needed.
• Supporting preparation of high care orders, supplying stock to the feed room, and assisting the packing section when required.
• Producing GRN labels for shifts and enforcing stock rotation using the FIFO system.
• Printing daily picking orders and organizing workload priorities accordingly.
• Retrieving stock from storage, palletizing, repacking, stacking, and labeling according to customer specifications.
• Inspecting and weighing incoming stock, documenting details, and printing necessary labels to meet customer requirements.
• Assessing stock quality for orders and communicating any issues to the high care feed room supervisor.
• Moving stock to safe holding spots such as cool rooms, warehouse racks, or dispatch zones.
• Maintaining tidiness and safety in packaging areas.
• Providing support to packing lines and forklift operations in low-risk areas when high care is inactive.
• Keeping outdoor pallet zones orderly and secure.
• Identifying and reporting labeling discrepancies like missing date codes or grower traceability, then coordinating corrections with stock management.
• Enforcing FIFO stock control by rotating stock in date order.
• Monitoring conditions such as open cool room doors, temperature control, and obstruction clearance to ensure product quality.
• Disposing of packaging and raw material waste properly.
• Taking responsibility for daily forklift maintenance and cleanliness.
• Returning forklifts to charging stations and recharging batteries when possible.
• Performing other related tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Valid forklift license is mandatory.
• Basic computer skills are preferable.
• Capability to work effectively in cold storage environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations.
• Strong time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities with a confident approach to interacting with new people.
• An assertive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
• A genuine willingness to learn, develop, and meet set goals.
• Ability to show initiative beyond assigned duties is vital for success in this role.
