Job Overview

This role involves ensuring a smooth dining experience by maintaining and setting up work areas, performing closing duties, and supporting kitchen and service operations at a Marriott International property in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Food Runner is essential in delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform closing activities such as storing reusable items, cleaning equipment and areas, securing refrigerators and doors, and completing daily cleaning checklists.
• Prepare and replenish workstations for service and uphold cleanliness standards continuously by following clean-as-you-go practices.
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all dining utensils such as china, glassware, and silverware before use to ensure quality standards.
• Comply with all company safety and security protocols, report any accidents or unsafe situations, and complete necessary safety trainings.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality and protection of company assets.
• Greet guests warmly, communicate clearly and professionally, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Foster positive teamwork by supporting colleagues and responding thoughtfully to employee concerns.
• Follow quality standards consistently and verify visual information from various formats.
• Physically handle tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or moving for long periods, and navigating various surfaces and stairs as part of the role.
• Perform any additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
