About the Role

Join BAM UK & Ireland as a Facilities Management Junior Quantity Surveyor at their Head Office in Kildare. BAM Facilities Management oversees a diverse portfolio including 25-year PPP contracts across education, commercial, and retail sectors. This position offers the opportunity to build a lasting career within Facilities Management and advance within the Commercial Team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage and distribute tender packages to subcontractors.
  • Review and compare submitted tenders for contract awards.
  • Oversee orders and track contract renewal dates.
  • Maintain and regularly update subcontractor packages and pricing.
  • Conduct detailed cost analyses on present and upcoming packages.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Develop quotations encompassing Capex, operational, and lifecycle expenses while keeping both the Operations Team and Clients informed of progress.
  • Maintain records pertaining to work completion, approvals, and invoicing processes.
  • Coordinate subcontracting tasks including selecting specialist suppliers and responding to invoicing queries.
  • Assist procurement activities related to products and subcontractors.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a comparable Quantity Surveying role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with COINS software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical capabilities paired with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
