Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Flight Safety Manager to direct and advance safety initiatives within our aviation operations based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the Director of Safety, this role involves overseeing the entire Safety Management System (SMS), driving risk reduction strategies, conducting comprehensive audits and investigations, and fostering a proactive safety culture organization-wide.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the Safety Management System continuously.
- Execute safety audits, perform thorough investigations, and conduct risk analysis.
- Manage safety reporting, implement corrective measures, and lead risk mitigation strategies.
- Track SMS effectiveness and generate detailed reports for senior management.
- Support safety case development and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with operational teams to detect and minimize safety risks.
- Encourage ongoing safety awareness and performance improvements across the company.
Required Qualifications
- At least seven years of experience in the aviation sector.
- A minimum of three years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Three years of direct experience in aviation safety within comparable operations.
- Deep understanding of aviation risk management and SMS frameworks.
- Knowledgeable about GACARs and global aviation regulations such as FAA and EASA.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aviation-specific IT tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in helicopter SAR (Search and Rescue) or EMS (Emergency Medical Services) operations.
- Background in project management.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to enhance safety performance within teams.
