Position Overview

Optimum TA Ltd is seeking a skilled Flexographic Printer to join its established print manufacturing facility in Daventry. This role involves working rotating day shifts with a competitive salary range and opportunities for training and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flexographic printing presses efficiently.
• Adjust and monitor machine parameters to ensure optimal print quality and equipment performance.
• Maintain consistency in print runs focusing on registration, color matching, and repeat length accuracy.
• Diagnose and resolve issues encountered during printing processes.
• Operate or assist with finishing machines such as die cutters, slitters, and rewinders.
• Contribute to process improvements including SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) and yield enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with production and maintenance personnel to support operational goals.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and quality protocols at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience operating flexographic presses in label, packaging, or comparable print environments.
• Strong understanding of print quality factors, including registration and accurate color matching techniques.
• Confident in setting up and tuning printing equipment for high-quality output.
• Effective problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges.
• Familiarity with IT systems for operational use.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team settings.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary between £38,000 and £40,000 annually.
• Rotating day shift schedule: 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM – 9:15 PM.
