About the Role
Based in Kingston, Ontario, this Financial Planner position offers an opportunity to build strong connections with mass affluent clients while providing comprehensive financial advice and planning. The role involves fostering long-term client relationships, leveraging data insights for strategic recommendations, and contributing to the growth and excellence of the business unit within TD Wealth.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend their financial goals and life aspirations through detailed financial reviews and ongoing advisory support.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to assess outcomes, formulate actionable recommendations, and continuously monitor financial programs' effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively within the team to meet common goals, enhance the client experience, and uphold superior service standards.
- Oversee productivity metrics and service delivery, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and lead initiatives aimed at continuous enhancement.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging developments to maintain a leading edge in financial planning.
- Provide mentorship and support to colleagues to foster a cooperative and encouraging team environment.
- Maintain rigorous risk management practices aligned with organizational risk tolerance.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree.
- 3 to 5 years of banking experience with demonstrated ability in client management and personalized investment advice.
- Willingness to obtain Registered Representative (RR) licensing through the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) if not already licensed.
- Dedication to achieving the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within the first three years of employment.
- CFP eligibility criteria include a university degree or relevant professional experience of up to 10 years or holding QAFP status in good standing for at least five years.

Compensation and Work Hours
The base salary for this role ranges between $60,000 and $70,000 CAD annually, with eligibility for commission-based earnings. The position entails a 37.5-hour workweek.
