Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a background in technical or professional services, or an ambitious accountant aiming to advance into a Financial Controller role. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to lead the finance function of a fast-growing specialist provider of engineering and technical services within the multinational manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance team and participate as a pivotal member of the senior leadership team reporting to the Director of Operations.
- Manage monthly and annual financial close processes and maintain strong financial controls.
- Provide strategic financial direction and governance across business operations.
- Deliver detailed financial analysis and performance reports.
- Oversee risk management, compliance, and audit activities.
- Coordinate and implement annual budgeting processes.
- Support commercial and technical leaders with financial guidance.
- Lead business transformation projects and mentor finance team members.
- Collaborate with the global CFO on relevant regional projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Third-level degree in a relevant field.
- Fully qualified accountant; training with one of the Big 3 firms preferred but not mandatory.
- 6 to 7+ years of experience in Finance Controller, Finance Manager, or similar roles.
- Experience supporting international entities is highly advantageous.
- Background in growth planning and expansion strategy is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
- Permanent contract with a salary up to approximately 00;90,000-95,000 depending on experience.
- Annual performance bonus, pension scheme, and private health insurance.
- 25 days annual leave.

Work Arrangement and Additional Information
- Hybrid working model: 2-3 days per week onsite at Limerick city centre, remaining days remote.
- Ideal for candidates residing outside immediate Limerick who can commute for office days.
