Job Overview
Become a vital part of our Bedford team engaging in a hands-on field role where daily tasks vary. This position involves extensive travel to diverse customer sites to foster lasting professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 9-11 site visits daily, collecting and exchanging various waste types including non-hazardous, low-hazardous, and hazardous waste.
- Efficiently and safely load and unload drums and containers from the vehicle.
- Develop and maintain positive client interactions across multiple sectors.
- Collaborate closely with the Branch Manager and clients to fulfill operational goals and address inquiries.
- Utilize handheld tablets and CRM tools to organize daily routes, service execution, and job management.
Requirements
- Possession of a full and clean UK driving licence.
- Holding a valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Enjoyment of road-based work and customer engagement.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a customer-centric mindset.
- No prior waste industry experience necessary; complete training and ADR licence support provided.
Working Conditions and Schedule
Workweek runs Monday to Friday, day shifts only, with no weekends or bank holidays required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of £35,000 with additional bonus opportunities yielding an on-target earning of £39,200.
