Farm Assistant

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Assistant to join our team, ideally for a long-term position, though candidates available through early January will also be considered. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude and thrives in teamwork settings, ready to engage in the day-to-day operations of the farm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily milking and manage cow movements, including setting up break fences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the milking shed and yard areas.
• Provide care for calves and maintain cleanliness of calf equipment.
• Perform general farm duties as assigned in accordance with established processes and training.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Exhibit a positive outlook and enthusiasm for teamwork.
• Demonstrate reliability, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
• Be eager to learn new skills and accept constructive feedback.
• Possess effective communication abilities.
• Ability to ride or willingness to learn to ride a two-wheeler motorbike.
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand with a valid visa.
• Preferable to be able to start work promptly.
