Facility Technician

About the Role

AirQ is seeking a Facility Technician to manage daily maintenance, repairs, and the overall upkeep of company facilities. This technical role entails hands-on involvement in maintaining office spaces, workshops, and warehouses, supporting renovation projects, coordinating contractors, and ensuring smooth facility operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of office, workshop, warehouse, and other facility areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs, troubleshooting, and upkeep of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and building elements.
• Promptly address maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently and safely.
• Maintain equipment, tools, fixtures, and infrastructure in optimal working condition.
• Assist renovation projects by supporting installation, modification, relocation, and dismantling activities while adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with and monitor external contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with site safety and company standards.
• Keep accurate records of facility assets, maintenance activities, and assist with asset tagging and verification.
• Support ongoing facility operations, emergency maintenance, and maintain cleanliness and functionality across various areas.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma, ITI, vocational certification, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or related technical fields.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in facilities or building maintenance roles.
• Solid practical experience with basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
• Competent in using maintenance tools and equipment, with good troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience coordinating contractors and understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physically capable of performing demanding maintenance tasks.
• Experience working in the UAE is preferred.
