About the Role
Begin your journey with U-Haul as a Facility Housekeeper, an essential position responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment at our facility. This role supports U-Haul’s commitment to superior service by ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, and mopping of various areas such as storage units, hallways, restrooms, and elevators.
- Manage waste disposal by regularly removing trash from the facility.
- Oversee cleaning supply levels and request replenishments to maintain proper inventory.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to maintain facility standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Motivated to learn new skills and procedures.
- Self-motivated and proactive in carrying out tasks.
Working Environment and Physical Requirements
Employees in this role may encounter moderate hazards and discomforts, including working near moving machinery or handling irritating chemicals. Appropriate protective gear such as masks, gloves, goggles, or shields may be necessary for safety.
The position involves physical activities including prolonged periods of standing or movement outdoors, reaching for items at various heights, and handling equipment weighing at least 50 pounds, either with or without assistance.
