Role Overview
The Export Control Specialist will oversee and manage export control activities within the project office, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and supporting smooth project operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain registers related to Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) and Third Party Retransfers (TPRs).
- Coordinate export control reviews effectively across teams.
- Collaborate with Asset Managers and subject matter experts to proactively handle amendments and related processes.
- Maintain and ensure up-to-date Non-Disclosure Deeds, including the validity of deed templates.
- Assess data sharing proposals to verify conformity with export control restrictions.
- Advise branch personnel on matters concerning export controls compliance.
- Prepare Monthly Activity Reports to aid transition processes from the project office.
- Conduct internal assurance activities to identify risks related to non-compliance and implement appropriate controls.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Eligibility to access US Export Controlled information (ITAR).
- Experience operating within complex acquisition or sustainment environments.
- Practical knowledge of export controls as applied in ITAR and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) arrangements.
Desirable Skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Additional Information
- Security Clearance Requirement: NV1 clearance.
- Work Location: Canberra, ACT, Australia, onsite.
- Weekly working hours: 40 hours.
- Salary package, including superannuation, will vary based on experience.
