Executive, Technology Investment & Ecosystem Development

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and commercially savvy executive to lead efforts in attracting investments and fostering ecosystem growth within rapidly advancing technology and digital segments. The role emphasizes cultivating innovation, engaging prominent organizations, and developing a vibrant ecosystem covering artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, cloud and data center infrastructure, digital platforms, emerging technologies, and technology-driven services. This individual will be instrumental in designing sector growth strategies, pinpointing investment prospects, building strategic alliances, and partnering with international technology leaders to accelerate innovation and economic progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to draw both local and global investments into priority technology sectors.
• Identify and build relationships with technology firms, investors, venture capitalists, and strategic collaborators.
• Create persuasive value propositions and business growth prospects for potential investors and companies.
• Support investment negotiations and assist with successful market entry and business expansion efforts.
• Formulate and implement strategies that enhance the technology and digital ecosystem.
• Encourage cooperation among industry players, government agencies, startups, academia, research bodies, and investors.
• Spot gaps in the ecosystem and devise programs to boost sector competitiveness and innovation.
• Establish strategic partnerships fostering knowledge sharing, innovation, and commercial growth.
• Maintain relationships with senior executives, investors, industry leaders, and ecosystem participants.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, investment delegations, and key engagements.
• Build and sustain networks within local and international technology communities.
• Facilitate strategic collaborations to support ecosystem growth and increased investments.
• Drive accountable results relating to investment attraction, ecosystem development, and sector expansion.
• Set KPIs and performance indicators to evaluate sector impact and strategic plans.
• Prepare business cases and recommendations for investment and growth initiatives.

Candidate Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or relevant disciplines.
• An advanced qualification such as an MBA or Master’s degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience in technology sector development, investment promotion, business development, consulting, venture capital, innovation, or digital transformation.
• Deep knowledge of technology markets, innovation ecosystems, and emerging digital fields.
• A history of successfully establishing partnerships and leading strategic growth initiatives.
