Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Event Manager to join our team full-time at our Bally location. This role involves overseeing the planning and execution of academic, co-curricular, and community-focused events throughout the school. Key duties include conceptualizing event themes, developing detailed schedules, managing logistics, handling venue arrangements, and ensuring all necessary resources and materials are secured.
The Event Manager will collaborate closely with school leaders, faculty, students, and external suppliers to guarantee events are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget. Responsibilities include managing invitations and registrations, supervising event setup and teardown, as well as collecting feedback for continuous enhancement of future events. The role requires maintaining comprehensive documentation, timelines, and reports, while strictly adhering to the school's standards and brand identity.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in event planning and coordination, ideally with experience organizing school or educational events such as ceremonies and competitions.
- Competence in vendor relations, budget oversight, and logistical coordination including catering, transportation, audiovisual requirements, and venue setup.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with school administration, faculty members, students, families, and external partners.
- Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities, with aptitude for handling multiple concurrent events and deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Problem-solving aptitude and the capacity to remain composed and adaptable during live events or unexpected situations.
- Comfortable using office productivity tools and digital platforms for scheduling, registration management, reporting, and communications.
- Previous experience in event management, school administration, or related fields is highly valuable; familiarity with the education sector is an advantage.
- A bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Administration, Education, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
