Job description

Role Overview

The Event Coordinator at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Dammam plays a key role in ensuring successful event banquets by coordinating closely with group coordinators or hosts prior to receptions. This position involves reviewing banquet orders to gather guest information, organizing event logistics such as timing and special guest needs, and overseeing buffet and food station setups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with group coordinators or hosts before events to introduce and confirm all preparations.
  • Analyze banquet orders to determine guest requirements, event flow, and specifics such as buffet arrangements.
  • Attend to and ensure fulfillment of all special banquet needs.
  • Monitor special banquet arrangements continuously to guarantee compliance.
  • Comply strictly with company safety policies; report any maintenance, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
  • Safeguard company information confidentiality and protect assets.
  • Support colleagues respectfully, collaborating towards shared goals.
  • Meet quality assurance standards and expectations consistently.
  • Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, and positioning objects up to 11.25 kg without assistance.
  • Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods during work shifts.
  • Visually inspect information, equipment, and tools for defects or details.
  • Engage in physical movements like bending, reaching, twisting, and navigating constrained or elevated spaces.
  • Greet guests warmly in accordance with company standards and communicate clearly and professionally, including telephone etiquette.
  • Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • A minimum of one year of related work experience in the field.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
