Estimator

Overview

As an Estimator at Allmar Inc., you will work under the guidance of a senior estimator or contract salesperson to analyze architectural drawings and gather detailed information on hollow metal, hardware, wood doors, and related products to generate accurate pricing quotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep supplier price lists current along with company discount rates.
• Develop product lists for projects by carefully reviewing architectural drawings while adhering to company purchasing policies.
• Perform quantity take-offs, calculate pricing, and prepare formal quotations that incorporate all product costs including shipping fees both inbound and outbound.
• Solicit price quotes from vendors, ensuring to negotiate for the most competitive pricing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer software used for quotation preparation, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain broad knowledge of products such as hollow metal, hardware, wood doors, and recommend alternative options for projects when suitable.

Education and Experience

• Significant company-provided training is offered.
• An Architectural Engineering Certificate is viewed favorably.
• Two to three years of relevant professional experience.
• Advanced computer literacy including MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and AutoCAD software proficiency.
