Job description
Role Overview
This multifaceted position involves supporting the tendering, estimation, and execution phases of precast concrete projects. You will collaborate closely with clients, engineers, architects, draftspeople, and site teams, starting from the tender phase through to the final delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and submit tenders, cost estimates, and quotations specifically for precast concrete jobs.
- Analyze and interpret various structural, architectural, and shop drawings essential for project planning.
- Contribute to the planning, scheduling, and coordination of precast concrete project activities.
- Communicate effectively with draftsmen, architects, engineers, site supervisors, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage the manufacturing and delivery schedules for precast concrete components.
- Organize and oversee delivery logistics of precast materials to construction sites.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely achievement of critical deadlines.
- Maintain precise documentation and transparent communication throughout project lifecycles.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in estimating, project management, construction, or related disciplines.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting structural, architectural, and shop drawings.
- Solid understanding of engineering concepts, construction terminology, and industry standards.
- Highly organized with strong time-management capabilities.
- Adept at juggling multiple tasks and meeting stringent deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other common office software.
- Background in the precast concrete sector or construction industry is a desirable advantage.
