Job description
Overview
The Estimation Director will oversee tender management, cost analysis, and strategy development for construction projects within the GCC region. This leadership role involves preparing detailed cost proposals, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and mentoring junior staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to formulate accurate and detailed cost estimates and proposals.
- Create and implement pricing strategies, including value engineering and evaluating requirements for materials, labor, and timelines.
- Collaborate and negotiate with construction teams, consultants, and subcontractors for technical clarifications and cost agreements.
- Assess project risks and ensure all tender submissions adhere to local regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Lead and guide junior estimation engineers and quantity surveyors through mentorship and supervision.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Have 10 to 15 or more years of experience in estimation and tendering specifically within the GCC construction market.
- Demonstrate proficient use of MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation-related software such as Candy, CCS, or Primavera.
- Exhibit strong commercial insight, persuasive negotiation abilities, leadership aptitude, and effective communication skills.
Compensation
The salary range offered is AED 40,000 to AED 70,000 as a maximum package.
