About the Role
Join United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, as an Equipment Associate and contribute to the smooth functioning of our branch operations. This role involves manual tasks supporting service technicians, sales teams, and other branch staff to meet customer needs effectively. Success in this position opens pathways to advancement into Driver and Service Technician development tracks.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine returned equipment for damages, usage hours, mileage, and fuel levels.
- Verify rental equipment has proper safety decals and complies with safety regulations, ensuring that all gear is in outstanding condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and workspace areas.
- Facilitate loading and unloading of rental machinery and prepare equipment for customers' rental use.
- Assist customers by checking out and demonstrating equipment operation, and operate delivery trucks for equipment pick-up and drop-off.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support branch operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational credential.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, multitasking abilities, and a cooperative team spirit.
- Exhibit careful attention to safety practices and protocols.
- Provide superior customer service and support.
- Be physically capable of frequently lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Compensation
The salary for this role ranges from $22.50 to $32.40 per hour, with specific rates dependent on position, education, experience, skills, and qualifications.
