Environmental Services Worker

About the Role

As an Environmental Services Worker within the Western Zone at Annapolis Community Health Centre, you will support creating a clean, safe, and operationally efficient environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors. Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Facility Support Services, your duties will encompass daily cleaning and upkeep across various assigned units, including patient rooms and public spaces.

Key Duties

• Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, and vacuuming furniture, floors, and stairways.
• Buff, scrub, and refinish floors to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
• Move and rearrange furniture as needed and replace curtains and drapes.

Candidate Profile

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Dedication to nurturing an environment that emphasizes safety, ethical conduct, and organizational well-being.
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
• Willingness and ability to travel between sites as required; a dependable vehicle is necessary.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as Taski spray buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and shampooers.
• Knowledge of additional languages is beneficial; French proficiency is preferred.

Hours and Compensation

• This permanent full-time role requires 75 hours biweekly.
• Hourly wage ranges from $20.74 to $21.56.
