Enterprise Application Architect

About the Role

HyperThink Systems W.L.L., based in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Application Architect to spearhead initiatives in enterprise architecture. This role is key in shaping technology strategies and aligning business capabilities with technology ecosystems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive the conceptualization and advancement of the Enterprise Application Architecture framework.
• Interpret business requirements to define technology and solution architecture criteria.
• Create and execute technology strategies that complement business goals.
• Evaluate current IT infrastructure to spot enhancement opportunities.
• Champion innovation by exploring and assessing emerging technologies.
• Develop comprehensive business capability models and technology roadmap plans.
• Set and uphold enterprise architecture standards, principles, and governance processes.
• Manage architecture delivery, technology selection, and enforce standardization efforts.
• Collaborate extensively with development, infrastructure, business units, and IT departments.
• Perform assessments on technology investments focusing on risks, organizational influences, and cost-effectiveness.
• Articulate the architecture vision, benefits, outcomes, and proposals to stakeholders at senior business and IT levels.
• Lead, mentor, and guide teams, promoting consensus building and effective decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 15 years of IT experience encompassing at least two technological disciplines.
• 7 to 10 years of expertise in business analysis or strategic business planning.
• In-depth understanding of TOGAF framework and enterprise architecture methodologies.
• Proficiency in business and technology capability mapping techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of technical, application, infrastructure, and network architecture domains.
• Experience with service-oriented analysis and design principles.
• Strong analytical thinking, strategic insight, and technical acumen.
• Excellent skills in communication, facilitation, negotiation, and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Proven leadership qualities and experience managing teams.
• Expertise in managing vendor relationships and client engagements.
• Advanced planning and organizational skills.
