This role ensures alignment of engineering outputs with procurement, fabrication, and construction needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute the Engineering Execution Plan including defining the engineering work breakdown structure (WBS), deliverable timelines, resource planning, and staffing strategies.
  • Manage timely preparation, review, and approval of design calculations, drawings, specifications, datasheets, and material requisitions, while monitoring progress according to detailed schedules and engineering KPIs.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary coordination across process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, and process teams to resolve design conflicts and interface complexities ensuring integrated deliverables.
  • Ensure stringent engineering quality assurance by adherence to Project Quality Plans, customer standards, and international codes such as ASME, API, ISO, and IEC through design reviews and independent verification promoting a "Right First Time" approach.
  • Provide procurement engineering support by issuing material requisitions and technical bid evaluations, aiding vendor selection and approvals, and reviewing vendor documentation.
  • Facilitate engineering support for construction and fabrication activities by ensuring engineering deliverables promote efficient fabrication sequences and construction methods, resolving site queries and field technical issues, and providing on-site support during execution.
  • Support offshore installation and commissioning phases by preparing necessary engineering documentation, including system readiness, red-line markups, and as-built updates.
  • Manage critical engineering interface coordination across internal disciplines and external contractors to resolve and track interface issues, collaborating with the Interface Manager.
  • Work closely with the Planning Manager to integrate engineering schedules with procurement and fabrication timelines, ensuring engineering deliverables support overall project milestones and critical path.
  • Oversee formal change management processes, assessing impacts on cost, schedule, and technical integrity, and support contractual variation and claim evaluations.
  • Identify and mitigate engineering-related risks such as design changes, delivery delays, and technical uncertainties, contributing to risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Implement and manage digital engineering systems including EDMS (e.g., Aconex), promoting digital initiatives such as 3D modeling and smart plant systems while ensuring document control and version tracking.
  • Interface with client engineering teams, lead design reviews, and incorporate client feedback and approvals in a timely manner.
  • Lead and manage multi-location engineering teams, ensuring adequate staffing, competency development, performance monitoring, and fostering a collaborative and accountable work culture.

Qualifications & Experience
