Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a competent and enthusiastic ELV Engineer specializing in fire safety to join our team based in Ahmedabad. This full-time position involves the design, installation, and maintenance of fire safety, fire fighting, and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems. The role requires adherence to all relevant safety codes and standards to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design fire safety systems including but not limited to fire alarms, detection mechanisms, suppression units, and emergency lighting.
  • Plan and install fire fighting systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, and extinguishers, ensuring proper commissioning.
  • Design and incorporate ELV systems such as CCTV surveillance, access control, intercoms, and public address systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and perform preventive maintenance on installed systems.
  • Carry out fire risk evaluations and audits while maintaining compliance with NFPA, ISO, and local fire safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams, clients, and contractors to guarantee effective project delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documents, reports, and comprehensive system manuals.
  • Deliver basic operational training to clients on the installed systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Safety Engineering, or equivalent disciplines.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in fire protection, fire fighting, and ELV system design and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety codes including NFPA, ISO standards, and applicable local regulations.
  • Practical experience working with sprinklers, hydrants, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable design software.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities and strong communication skills.
  • Preferred certifications in fire safety, fire fighting systems, or ELV technologies are advantageous.
