Role Overview
The Electronic Technician is a permanent, on-site position based in Zone 47, Doha. This job involves installing, testing, and maintaining electronic devices and systems integral to company operations. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing electronic and electrical faults, conducting routine inspections, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. The technician will also conduct soldering and repairs on circuit boards and components, interpret technical schematics, and uphold safety and quality standards in all activities. Documentation of maintenance work, collaboration with supervisors and peers, and assisting with equipment upgrades are also essential functions.
Key Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Electronics Technology, focusing on electronic components, circuitry, and systems.
- Practical soldering capabilities for assembly, repair, and modification of electronic boards and parts.
- Skillful troubleshooting of electronic and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and analytical fault-finding techniques.
- Understanding of electrical principles, including the safe handling of electrical systems and wiring.
- Experience in conducting maintenance and repairs for electronic and electrical equipment including preventive and corrective measures.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Competence in reading and interpreting technical schematics, manuals, and drawings.
- Familiarity with applicable safety standards and regulations for on-site technical work.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
- Previous work experience in industrial, construction, or facility electronics maintenance within Qatar or the surrounding region is a plus.
