About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Supervisor to oversee and execute electrical maintenance operations within a flour mill manufacturing facility located in Perambur, Chennai. The role requires ensuring the reliable and safe functioning of electrical equipment and systems to support continuous production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and perform electrical maintenance activities across the plant to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain uninterrupted operation of electrical systems and production machinery.
- Troubleshoot and service electric motors, control and distribution panels, transformers, and other electrical components.
- Proactively monitor electrical equipment to identify and prevent potential failures.
- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance effectively.
- Ensure proper upkeep of electrical wiring, cables, switches, starters, and protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and legal regulations.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to resolve electrical issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of all electrical maintenance activities and breakdowns.
- Promote housekeeping and safety best practices in electrical work areas.
- Supervise electricians and contracted electrical workers as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- Valid C Licence required.
- Up to 40 years of age.
- Practical knowledge of AC/DC motors, motor maintenance, electrical control and distribution panels, transformers, and protection systems.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance preferred.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and understanding of electrical safety in industrial settings.
- Effective communication, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
- Residing within 15 kilometers of Perambur, Chennai is a prerequisite.
