Key Responsibilities
- Analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and project instructions to produce accurate cost evaluations.
- Perform quantity take-offs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
- Partner with project managers, engineers, and clients to verify project scopes and resolve potential issues.
- Obtain competitive rates through supplier, subcontractor, and vendor research.
- Identify opportunities to cut costs and provide value engineering solutions without compromising project quality.
- Ensure estimates adhere to electrical codes, safety guidelines, and relevant regulations.
- Prepare detailed bid documents showcasing cost breakdowns, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Maintain and update cost databases, pricing histories, and labor rates to enhance estimating precision.
- Support contract negotiations, change orders, and budget management during project implementation.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in electrical estimating for commercial, industrial, or construction environments.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, industry regulations, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $170,000 annually, accompanied by a positive workplace culture, collaborative teams, and growth opportunities.
