Role Overview
The Dry Cleaner is tasked with cleaning, pressing, and maintaining guest garments, hotel uniforms, linens, and other fabrics according to high hotel standards of hygiene and quality. This position ensures timely delivery of laundry and dry-cleaning services that meet guest satisfaction requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machines for dry cleaning, washing, drying, and pressing.
- Clean and press clothing for guests, staff uniforms, and hotel linens.
- Inspect garments for stains, damage, and any special instructions before processing.
- Use appropriate stain removal chemicals and techniques to treat fabrics.
- Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and required cleaning method.
- Fold, package, and deliver cleaned items to guests or internal departments.
- Maintain laundry equipment and promptly report any faults or malfunctions.
- Manage safe use and storage of chemicals used for cleaning.
- Adhere to established hotel standards for hygiene, safety, and quality.
- Keep the laundry work area clean and organized at all times.
- Respond to guest requests professionally and without delay.
- Maintain accurate records of guest laundry and dry-cleaning orders.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience in hotel laundry or dry-cleaning preferred.
- Familiarity with fabric care and methods for removing stains.
- Skill in operating laundry and pressing equipment efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and good time management abilities.
- Basic communication skills to interact with guests and staff.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle heavy laundry loads.
