Role Summary

The position of Drone Pilot is a permanent, on-site role in Lagos, Nigeria. The individual will operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones to perform aerial surveys, inspections, photo and video documentation, and data acquisition that support the company's aviation services and client projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and execute flight plans adhering to project requirements.
• Perform comprehensive pre-flight inspections to ensure drone readiness and safety.
• Monitor drone functionality actively during missions for safe operation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and aviation regulatory standards.
• Maintain detailed flight logs and operational reports.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients to align with mission goals.
• Conduct risk assessments and suggest suitable drone solutions for various assignments.
• Support routine drone equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Engage in continual professional development on emerging drone technologies, regulations, and best operational practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in piloting drones and UAVs in diverse environments.
• Hands-on experience with drone system setup, calibration, and basic repair.
• Capability to train others in safe and compliant drone usage.
• Understanding of aviation safety standards and local UAV rules within Nigeria.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness, especially under strict time limits.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with operational teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Relevant drone pilot certification or permits, as mandated locally, are an advantage.
• Background in aviation, geospatial surveying, photography, videography, or similar technical areas adds value.
