Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and well-organized Document Controller to join our Doha office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive document control systems that comply with organizational and regulatory standards, ensuring project teams are supported through effective documentation management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and uphold strong document control systems incorporating version and change management to accurately track documents, approvals, modifications, and compliance across projects.
  • Structure, archive, and maintain project documentation using consistent naming conventions and logical filing to facilitate audits and easy retrieval.
  • Oversee the document lifecycle including creation, examination, endorsement, dissemination, and storage ensuring precision and regulatory adherence.
  • Generate and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on document status, progress, and compliance indicators to aid decision-making.
  • Perform regular audits and checks to verify document completeness and correctness, addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Facilitate communication among project teams, stakeholders, and departments to ensure smooth document flow and timely information exchange.
  • Formulate and enforce document control protocols and guidelines aligned with organizational standards and industry best practices.
  • Assist in project closure and compliance activities by ensuring all required documents are thorough, accurate, and compliant with regulatory and operational criteria.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years' professional experience as a Document Controller in construction, engineering, or project management sectors.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in the GCC region with familiarity of local regulatory environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in establishing and managing document control systems that incorporate versioning and change management processes.
  • Advanced skills in data management, document mapping, and reporting with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, ACONEX, and other document management software platforms.
  • Proven experience in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports offering actionable insights.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to coordinate internationally.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities autonomously within complex and fast-moving settings.
  • Exceptional organizational skills coupled with high attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
