Job Summary
Domino's seeks dedicated and organized Dishwashers who enjoy collaborating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role involves collecting and cleaning all dirty dishware from the kitchen, ensuring they are thoroughly washed, dried, and stored properly. Additional duties include restocking supplies, unloading deliveries, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen appliances and the lobby area, managing trash disposal, and assisting with other tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect all soiled prep tubs, pans, utensils, and cookware from kitchen areas and ensure they are washed and stored clean and dry.
- Prepare dining and kitchen areas for the next shifts by cleaning and restocking cooking stations.
- Clean kitchen appliances such as ovens, makeline, and cutting tables.
- Maintain an orderly and clean dishwashing area.
- Assist in unloading and organizing deliveries.
- Sweep and mop floors, especially after spills.
- Dispose of trash and clean garbage receptacles.
- Support fellow staff members with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Report any kitchen incidents or breaches of food safety protocols.
- Ensure the dining area is ready for operation at opening, during, and closing hours.
- Set up kitchen station prior to rush hours and reset it after closing for the next business day.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimal prior work experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.
- Excellent communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management capabilities.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for 8–10 hour shifts and lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Commitment to maintaining high work standards and pride in job performance.
- Willingness to adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Possession of a Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate is mandatory.
Education and Experience
While having a high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates with no prior experience will receive comprehensive training specific to the employer's procedures, including operation of computer systems and proper chemical use for cleaning. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
Work Environment
Dishwashers will handle a significant volume of kitchenware including sharp items which must be managed safely. The work environment is busy, noisy, and warm, with wet areas that may present slipping hazards. Equipment includes conveyor ovens and mobile warming shelves that require careful navigation to prevent injury.
