Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in kitchen and dining spaces, including washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen and dining equipment.
• Clean floors, equipment, and assigned areas regularly.
• Deliver excellent customer service while supporting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Services and Executive Director to enhance resident satisfaction with dining programs.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
• Properly operate and maintain dishwashing machines, including cleaning and verifying sanitizing temperatures and chemical levels after meals.
• Follow assigned cleaning schedules and quality food safety standards.
• Assist with transporting and storing food and supplies, supporting cooks and wait staff as needed.
• Participate in preparation and execution of special dining events, banquets, and themed meals.
• Attend pre-meal briefing meetings in the kitchen before service.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and math.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team environment.
