Key Responsibilities
- Create a relaxed and welcoming dining atmosphere by actively participating within a team setting and demonstrating sincere hospitality and cooperative skills to support culinary success.
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Keep the dishroom and all related equipment organized and spotless.
- Ensure kitchen safety and hygiene by following required cleaning and sanitation standards dictated by regulatory agencies.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year experience working in a high-volume culinary or hospitality environment.
- Possession of a valid food handler’s card and any other certifications mandated by federal, state, or local laws.
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations including storage and rotation of food, equipment, kitchenware, and tableware.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking procedures for plates, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Capable of routine housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Flexibility to perform additional supportive tasks as needed for the business.
Physical and Operational Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift and move items up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling throughout shifts.
- Capability to stand for extended periods during a shift.
- Experience handling various kitchen tools and machinery including hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
- Work schedules vary according to business needs.
