Director - Technical Program Management

Overview

The Director of Technical Program Management at JioStar will spearhead expansive cross-functional technical initiatives essential to the company’s product and engineering strategies. This role demands collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Business leadership to drive project execution, maintain alignment of priorities, address risks proactively, and guarantee reliable delivery of sophisticated projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive planning and execution of multi-team technical programs involving Product and Engineering divisions.
• Work in close partnership with Product, Engineering, and Business leadership to establish program objectives, execution strategies, key milestones, and success indicators.
• Ensure alignment with strategic roadmaps and timely realization of initiatives while managing competing demands.
• Proactively identify technical and programmatic risks, develop mitigation measures, and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
• Facilitate critical decision-making across teams by clarifying technical and business compromises.
• Engage with engineering teams to grasp system architecture, dependencies, and potential implementation challenges.
• Forge and nurture influential relationships across the organization without formal authority.
• Develop and refine governance frameworks, program management processes, and operational standards.
• Utilize quantitative metrics to monitor progress and report consistently to senior executives.
• Guide and mentor Technical Program Managers, fostering operational excellence company-wide.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• In-depth knowledge of software development life cycles, distributed system design, cloud infrastructure, and contemporary engineering methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise managing multiple high-complexity technical programs concurrently in dynamic settings.
• Ability to influence and harmonize efforts across cross-disciplinary teams including Product, Engineering, Design, and Business stakeholders.
• Strong technical comprehension enabling evaluation of system architecture, risk factors, and engineering compromises.
• Exceptional skills in program planning, execution oversight, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven track record of steering large-scale projects from idea through successful implementation.
• Structured analytical and problem-solving aptitude geared toward methodical execution.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree with a minimum of 16 years professional experience, including 10 years specialized in program management roles within consumer technology.
