Key Duties
- Provide individualized assistance with daily living tasks like meal preparation, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and transportation
- Encourage involvement in social events and community activities such as shopping and outings
- Support individuals in achieving personal objectives and celebrate their accomplishments
- Promote autonomy, choice, and self-advocacy
- Maintain accurate records on care activities and progress
- Coordinate effectively with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum age of 18
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent credential
- Successful completion of background screening and required training
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and proof of insurance (primary or secondary)
- Capability to work safely and respectfully in clients' homes and community settings
- A compassionate nature, dependability, and eagerness to positively impact lives
Preferred Expertise
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities or autism, including familiarity with Individual Activity Support Plans and Plans of Service and Supports
- Knowledge of foundational behavior support techniques such as redirection, visual cues, and environmental changes
