Job description
Overview
Singapore Airlines is currently seeking experienced Direct Entry Captains to join on fixed-term contracts of up to 12 months. Successful applicants will be assigned to operate either the Airbus A350 or Airbus A380 fleets.
Entry Requirements
- Possession of a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate recognized or verifiable by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
- Hold an Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with a valid Airbus A350 or Airbus A380 type rating acknowledged or verifiable by CAAS. Applicants holding foreign licenses should verify eligibility accordingly.
- Accumulated minimum flying hours of 7,000, which includes at least 3,000 Pilot-In-Command (PIC) hours on commercial jets operating internationally, and at least 1,500 PIC hours on either the A350 or A380 aircraft.
- A minimum of two years’ experience as a Captain on the Airbus A350 or A380 immediately before the application date.
- Proficient English communication skills meeting ICAO English Level 5 or higher for inflight radio-telephony.
- A minimum height of 1.58 meters to ensure safe and effective reach to all flight deck controls.
Selection Process
Candidates will participate in multiple assessment stages, including interviews, simulator evaluations, and medical screenings.
Training and Contract Details
Selected Captains will receive the required training for their fleet assignment. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis, extending up to 12 months.
